I would like to take a moment to say that I am thinking about my friends that have dealt with Irene and Lee, and also my friends in Texas dealing with the horrible heat and fires. I hope life gets back to normal for you all really soon!
My friend wanted a sign for her back porch. I used my Silhouette to make a template (stencil) out of contact paper.

She (my friend) gave me a board that she wanted me to use. I painted it the same blue as my kitchen floor. If you look closely in these pictures you’ll see how well it matches.

I used these bright colored paints from DecoArt, and some sample paint from Glidden. Mrs. Dickens also wanted some grass, but I felt the grass would be too small for the Silhouette to cut out. I decided to freehand the grass. I purposely gave the trees some texture by swirling the paint, and I used the tip of my brush to give the sun some “rays”.
Fast forward—I got too busy and forgot to take in progress pictures.

This is where it hangs over at Dickens’ Acre!

I can’t help myself, I love making signs!
Stop by tomorrow for a review and a fantastic giveaway!

So cute...I am sure Mrs. Dickens love it! You have got this sign making thing down to a fine art! I can see where it is easy to become addicted to making them!
Super cute sign. I like making signs as well. I have a few on my list I need to make.

As always you did a GREAT job!
I have no doubt the Dickens family LOVES it as well!
The sign is super cute. I like making signs but don't have the tools for much outside of chalk. I would like a silhouette but they are rather costly so I will not be getting one anytime soon. I also know nothing about vinyl lol. You are my sign inspiration!!
That is absolutely adorable!! Love the trees.
I love it. What would you charge to make a sign for Grampy and my place?
You do make great signs! This is a fun one~lots of color.
You sure are good at it Gail. Trish
