More Easy Heat Transfer with Silhouette (daisies)

There are a couple of ways to go about a design.  Look at the group of flowers on the bottom right. It is an image I purchased from Silhouette online. Each of those flowers can be separated. I took out the daisy and copied it three times. These daisies are the same ones I used for the sign “Our House May be Small, But God Knows Where We Live”   I was having a difficult time figuring out how I wanted to group them in this project. I then remembered that I had downloaded a free font from dafont.com. The name of this font is wmflowers1.  If you look up at the top right of this photo you will see the name of the font and that each letter is a flower.  This flower was the letter “c”. 

I ended up cutting out just the group of daisies (letter c) and a pink frog to take up the empty space so I wouldn’t have any waste.  (I don’t have a screen shot of it)

This is after I unloaded the heat transfer from the Silhouette and cut it to include just the items I cut.

I peeled away the negative spaces, and cut the two images apart.  This Silhouette SD is so small and compact that I use it right on my coffee table. When not in use, I store it in my Pottery Barn inspired Logan Media Center I built last year.

I placed the image on a shirt to see where I wanted to position it.  I usually just wing it. (it seems to work for me most of the time)

I used an Ikea dish towel, because the nice folks at Silhouette recommend using a cloth. But again, I found that it worked best for me right on top of the plastic. Do as I SAY not as I DO!  Use a cloth to protect your project and your iron.

I love the pink on pink !!  Although I’m sure had I used the pretty Teal, I would have loved that too.

I made this shirt for Angel’s mom Regina. She really liked it. Daisies are her favorite.

So, there you have it—a very inexpensive t-shirt embellished with some pretty daisies for very little money, time and effort.  The roll of heat transfer is 3 ft, and I used only a few inches for the daisy and the frog. Regina took the frog home to iron it on something for Angel. (She loves frogs)
