Vinyl can add pizzazz to anything!

I fondly refer to my computer as Gert (named after my Nana who was Gertrude Evelyn) I think I’m currently on Gert the third. Computers all look the same, and I wanted mine to stand out in the crowd! I dressed Gert up in a new outfit! Ya’ll know I  LOVE vinyl of all sorts! When I was offered some vinyl from Ten23 Designs,  I happily chose a new outfit for my computer!  I spend countless hours on my computer every day and it pleases me to dress her up a bit.

These are the items I used:

• Vinyl decal from Ten23 Designs
• Alcohol
• Cotton ball
• Something to smooth the vinyl (I used my AAA card)

I used some alcohol on a cotton ball to clean the lid to my computer. (be very careful with any liquid around your keyboard) I used alcohol to remove any oily residue.

I smoothed the vinyl onto the transfer paper.

Then I peeled the vinyl off of the backing.

Here, you can see that the vinyl is totally free of the backing.

I arranged the vinyl where I wanted it  on my computer.

Once I got the vinyl where I wanted it, I rubbed it down with the AAA card.

To remove the transfer paper, I gently peeled it back allowing the vinyl to adhere to the computer.

Easy does it!

Voila!

 

I love the girl’s new outfit!  Now, when I hang out with friends, my computer will stand out and be noticed!
