Silhouette Rhinestone April Promotion

or… every girl needs a little bling!

I purchased my image online at the Silhouette store for .99 cents.  They recommend that you do not alter the size of the image. (so that the rhinestones will fit in the cutout circles)





This is my Rhinestones Starter Kit-Rhinestone backer board, rhinestone  applique, rhinestone transfer paper, various rhinestones, pusher brush, pick-me-up tool, and easy to follow directions.




The directions are to use the pink cap. The silhouette comes with one blade, on which you change out the colored caps for different mediums.





This is the applique paper after the Silhouette cut it out.  It’s very difficult to see until you peel off the paper . . .

and place it on the backer board. 

 

Oops!  I was doing pictures AND video and I forgot to take a picture of the actual rhinestone placement.





After the rhinestones are placed on the applique, apply the transfer paper to “grab” your pattern.

Remove the transfer paper with the rhinestones attached.

 

 

I pressed the shirt—and centered the applique. (oops, no picture of that part)

I placed a towel over the applique to iron it on.

 

 

The directions say to preheat the iron to the wool setting and iron it for 45-60 seconds.  (I ironed a little longer just to be sure)  I recommend placing some fabric in between the layers of the shirt, so the rhinestones don’t make any dents in the back of the shirt.

I peeled back the transfer paper.

 

 

The directions recommend turning the project inside out and iron it from the back to make sure the glue “takes”.  (Again, I placed the towel in between the layers so that rhinestones would not make “dents” in the back of the shirt.)

Voila!
