My friend and I were shopping at one of our Peddler’s Malls when we saw a quote we liked. I decided to make it into a sign for her.

While visiting jamie last year I went to her Habitat For Humanity Re-Store and picked up several drawer front boards. I chose one that I thought would be a good size for this sign. I used one of my Martha Stewart sample paints that I got last winter from HomeDepot (facebook page).

My friend wanted a blue to match her bedroom.

I applied the vinyl. This font is Fontleroy Brown.

I showed the “mock up” to my friend before I put the vinyl on, and she asked “do you have any daisies?”

So I went to the Silhouette online store and purchased a set of flowers that included daisies. That is what is so great about this Silhouette and their software! No running to the store to buy a cartridge that contains images you don’t want! You simply log on and purchase ONLY what you want for .99 cents! They have some single daisies, but I chose this image that has many flowers. A lot more bang for my buck so to speak!
When you open this image, you can separate the flowers and only use what you want.

Here it is finished! She really liked it. In fact she liked it so much she decided NOT to put it in her bedroom. She put it in her kitchen so everyone can see it.
I am having some issues with my email address. If you write me an email and I don’t get back to you, it’s because I didn’t get it. Sometimes it is getting bounced back to the writer a week later. I apologize if this has happened with you. My tech person is a little too busy to work on it right now. (jamie) hahaha
I’m having a busy week getting ready for the bridal shower! I still have several things to do. I’m excited to see jamie this weekend!

Wow...that is awesome...love the saying and the flowers just finishes it off. How neat that you can buy the extras online...and at a great price too.
Have fun with Jamie...I know we all look forward to pictures from the bridal shower.
Gail that is a great sign... good job.
I want one of those machines so bad... just not in the budget right now. I borrowed a Cricut and I hate it... so limited to what you can do. I really, really like the idea that you can just go order what you want, when you want it. I might have to wait for Santa to bring me one next year.
Hope you are having a great week.
Hugs, Deb
cute quote!
That looks wonderful! So balanced and professional looking. Did that font come with the silhouette? I don't recall that one.
Great job! I cannot believe the difference the daisies make...Will be thinking about you this weekend!

Wow the daises just make it "pop". I need to win one of these!!
I love the shade of blue and the crisp white lettering and flowers. Beautiful!
I think I need to resist the temptation to add a Silhouette to my repertoire. I fear my family might never see me again if I started crafting with one :-0
I love, love, love that sign! The saying is awesome and the daisies really finish it off sweetly. :) Another amazing (and inspiring) project.
Oh, that is CUTE! The lettering and the daisies are perfect together.
Buying graphics online would be so handy. And so budget friendly! Cricut cartridges are really expensive.
Gail! That is Fantastic! I NEVER would have thought of drawer fronts for anything but a drawer front! That is GENIUS! Fab job!
That quote is brilliant! what a nice friend you are :^)
Love the saying Gail...I'd want to hang this so everyone could see it to. Trish
Gail, this is such a pretty project! I love the quote, and the daisies were the perfect embellishment.
Thanks so much for joining my Crafty Cutter party. Have fun finding some crafty inspiration, and I hope you’ll visit me at Serenity Now again soon. I have a new Silhouette project up today!
That I so adorable!!! Kitchen definitely. I love it when you can make something you see for a fraction of the price and it turns out better, too.

The sign is so cute, and I think you just sold me on getting a silhouette as soon as I can save enough pennies!
I want a Silhouette SO BAD...
I'm not sure how I missed this post initially, but am SO GLAD you referred back to it on "More Easy Heat Transfer with Silhouette (daisies)"
This is a GREAT saying and you did a WONDERFUL job!
I wish we were neighbors. :)
Blessings!
