Bridal Shower Details Pt 1

I have been very busy in the last few weeks with projects, but nothing I could show you BEFORE the shower. I wanted the details to be a surprise for Jamie. I have a lot of great blog friends. Most are DIY bloggers that I go to when I need advice with a project. However this project (shower) needed advice from a different kind of blogger.

Enter Stephanie!

Stephanie writes a great blog:

If you’ve never checked out Stephanie’s blog, you really should!  She is a very talented designer.  Stephanie offered to help me put together a plan for Jamie’s shower. I sent her some pictures of some elements I was thinking about using.  She responded very kindly with some great ideas!

Then one night we actually skyped!*  Stephanie showed me some great arrangements she had worked on!  I was in awe!

Isn’t it beautiful?  This is what Stephanie showed me while we were skyping.  Well, actually when we were skyping she was unable to find these gorgeous runners.  After she “found” the runners she took these pictures to convince me that I must use them.

Do you see those beautiful cut flowers? Did I mention that Stephanie lives in California and was able to cut those from her yard?  Woe is me!  I can’t wait till Spring!

I love vintage books!  This little bundle belongs to Stephanie, but she didn’t put it together.

See the little burlap bag and the vintage jewelry?  Isn’t she clever and creative to display it this way?

A few days  after our Skype session, a box arrived in the mail! Stephanie loaned me the burlap bags, these adorable pomanders (which are available in Stephanie’s Etsy Shop), and even one of the bird cages!  The yellow pomanders  really were the perfect color to go with the pink flowers, don’t cha think?
You can always find your way to Stephanie’s shop  because her button is right up there in my sponsors section.
So, I want to send a huge shout out to Stephanie!  She really is a great friend! I know our non blogger friends and family just don’t “get” it--How we can be such great friends with folks we’ve never met. I consider Stephanie a friend IRL. (in real life)

To refresh your memory, this is how I pulled it all together. My flowers are potted plants that I intend to plant in my yard.

*This was my first time ever on Skype. We were online for over 90 minutes! It was great to see and talk with Stephanie. We had already spoken on the phone, but seeing her  live (online) really let her wonderful (giving) personality shine through!  I could tell she was really excited to help me with Jamie’s shower.
