see what you inspire!? I fixed up a little diddy for my living room face lift!

Isn’t her “new” chair fabulous! I love a good chair redo!
I got a comment on an older post:
I just bought a waterfall vanity but doesn’t have a seat. The sitting space seems to be really low. Not sure how a seat can be pulled up to it. I am planning on painting it white for my daughter. Not sure if the mid section that is so low can be removed.

Gale- I believe if yours is anything like mine was that it will easily come apart. Check the back of the piece and inside the drawers to see how the three pieces are connected. This vanity was blogged about here: Waterfall Vanity redo and Waterfall vanity redo pt 2.
Silhouette SD (Monday’s Post)
I have a Silouhette and I LOVE it! I've only recently learned how much it can do! Today you have taught me something new that it can do...How did you get it to cut around the print? Thanks!
I have the machine, but haven't figured out the print and cut yet. I need to figure it out soon as I'm working on a tshirt iron on that I'll be printing onto their iron on stuff and I would like the machine to cut it out after. So a tutorial would be awesome if you are so inclined :) I mostly use it for cutting out freezer paper to make tshirts for my sons and gifts for their friends. I also use the vinyl sometimes for making labels and I have a subway art plan with family values, but I'm moving in 1.5 weeks, so my crafts are at a halt right now!

Sharon & Stephanie,
I suppose you have to use one of their print and cut patterns. I tried a pattern of my own and it didn't quite read it. I downloaded the birds (.99) put it in the layout, printed it on my printer. Then I fed it into the silhouette and voila! It cut it perfectly.
I was amazed at how it worked!
*You put it in your project, and make sure you show "registration" marks. That's how it reads it in order to cut.
These machines look incredible, I could think of so many things to do with it.
Honestly, before I got it, I was so anxious. Then when I actually got it, my mind went blank for awhile!
I don't own one but I'd like to. I was just drooling over a project Roeshel did with hers, yesterday. Your wreath is darling! Looks like the sky is the limit with a Silhouette.
Good to know that you can download a single image, without having to buy the cartridge. xo
Michelle, that is the best feature! Not having to buy cartridges!
Oh, yay, you! I'm so excited for you...I must say, I love the way you explain things...I've learned so much from you and a Silhouette is on my list (wish list, that is)...so I'm looking forward to learn how to use my-someday-Silhouette machine. Have fun!!
Oh you lucky girl! It looks like such a fun thing to have. My mind is spinning with ideas. Have fun with yours. Can't wait to see more.
Thanks ladies (for being happy for me) I’ve wanted one for so long!
Silhouette SD (Stenciling) Tuesday’s Post

I don't know... lol... those are too cute... I am loving that machine Gail... this is torture watching how easy it is. I want one so bad. To be able to make your own stencils at your own will is like striking gold.
Have fun for us all.
Hugs, Deb
thanks deb! I'm not the best stenciler, but I haven't had a lot of practice... maybe that's about to change ?!
They look great - once you got the hang of it!
They look great! Glad to see that round 2 went well! :)
If at first you don’t succeed…
Hey, Gail.. cute idea for the plates and I love that you keep it real and show us your messups too.. have a great day.
I never heard of a silhouette SD, so glad I stopped by....NOW I WANT ONE!!! It's nice to know other people aren't perfect to!!!!THANKS!!!
Another reason why I love you...YOU show the oopsies or the 1st drafts. I love that you showcase the imperfections so that the rest of us out here know that it does take a while to "master" something like this. :) I am so excited about your giveaway...How many ways will we be able to enter bc I will enter all of them. :)
Cheers~
e
So many times I have oopsies or messups! But I don’t always have the camera around to document it.
I am with Megan (above)...I love that you show the "learning curve". We all have one, but so few people talk about the missteps along the way to becoming competent. I'm impressed, actually, with how easily you're mastering this little machine. The plates are clever.
Thanks Erin! I’m learning as I go, but it’s really pretty easy!
Yay Gail! I love the plates, and the fun font. I"m so happy that you got the Silhouette...so much fun. You'll have to let us know the good, the bad and the ugly of it...I've been wanting one, too, but was unsure of how 'great' everyone keeps saying it is. Would love to hear from you on that.
I've had a few glitches (hiccups) but I really believe they have been operator error! :)
I'll keep ya posted for sure!

Frosted Vinyl Monogram-Silhouette (Thursday’s Post)

Thanks a bunch,
Susie
thanks!
I'll be doing more tutes and stuff as I find the time.
I've got to get some of that frosted vinyl! Have you cut anything fabric yet? Thanks for the giveaway! I'm off to share it!
Sharon,
Nope, I haven't cut fabric yet.
They are not really ready for the onset of fabric yet. We bloggers were supposed to do fabric, but they are low on the interfacing. So they asked us to wait till next month to highlight the fabric feature. So, I have been so busy doing the vinyl etc.
Man I have to get my mits on one of these~ The possibilities are just endless arent they?
They really do a lot of stuff! :)
and honestly, that deal they are offering is a pretty good one
Oh Gail...that turned out just beautiful!!! What fun you must be having with that machine!!!
I am having a lot of fun trying out all sorts of things!

I’m doing a secret project today-making a video for Dremel Tools! A VIDEO! yikes! what was I thinking? (it’s not really a secret, but since I didn’t tell you about it yet, it FEELS like a secret!)
I hope you’re having a great weekend!

I realize I could google this and I think I have a little bit of a clue - but would you tell me - exactly what is Blissdom? I get the idea it's sorta like a blogging conference. Where do I get more info.?
Thanks :)
Cute little diddy! Great chair revamp!
I really like the idea of seperating the old vanity and turning it into side tables. Very clever! Not sure why they made vanities so low. Even a teeny tiny person would have a hard time putting their legs underneath. I've seen several of these converted. I will have to give it a go, this summer.
Have a great weekend! xx
