Several months ago CSN Stores offered to let me review a product, I accepted. I’ve learned my lesson, don’t agree to review a product that needs to be installed. Why? Because nothing goes as planned! Three months later, I have my wonderful new faucet installed.
CSN Stores fulfilled their end of the bargain in record time. I ordered my faucet and it was delivered quick! If you’ve never dealt with them online, and you have the need to shop from the comfort of your home, I highly recommend them.
Meet my old faucet. It has served me well, but it really was time to move on.
Removing the old faucet was not near as difficult as I thought it would be. It was however difficult to maneuver under the sink. Before I did anything I shut the water off. I have shutoff valves right under the sink. I used a wrench to remove the water lines and the plastic nut.

I pulled the faucet out and removed the water line in the middle of the faucet (the sprayer hose). Faucet out! Why did I wait three months? I waited because I wanted to remove the faucet so I could install a new backsplash. I did just that. I put the new backsplash in while the faucet was removed.

This is the only thing I had to purchase in order to install my faucet.

I should have taken pictures of the directions. They were so easy to understand. I must tell you that I have never done any plumbing prior to this faucet installation. I used the plumber’s putty on this base. I put plumber’s tape on the threads of the sprayer hose (shown) and the water lines (not shown with plumber’s tape)
I put sprayer in it’s hole (using plumber’s putty on it too). After tightening the nut on the sprayer, I fed the hose up through the middle hole and screwed it in place. I then pushed the faucet into place. You can see the putty oozing out from under the faucet.
I installed the plastic nuts and reconnected the water lines. I have to tell you I was a little nervous about turning those water shutoff valves back on.

I took a deep breath and just went for it. Awww, “Houston we have liftoff!”

I love the finish of my new faucet. It is stainless steel finish. Doesn’t it look so pretty in my nearly finished kitchen. Thank you CSN Stores! I’m so sorry it took so long to install your wonderful faucet!
(although CSN Stores generously provided me with a faucet, the thoughts and opinions are my own.)
Remember that Catch-as-Catch-Can has been canceled this week so that we can have a HUGE party! I’m so excited, I hope that you all join in. We’re not at Blissdom, but we can still make friends and help each other with our blogs!
The party starts Thursday night!

Anyone who can tackle a plumbing project and succeed is my hero! The new faucet looks great, and I really appreciate the tutorial. I sometimes get tired of waiting for someone else to do things like this for me. I just need to jump in and do it myself.
I love your new faucet too! Thanks for the info. I think I'll be needing it in the next couple of months.
Okay - so. I have a kitchen faucet and a shower faucet (my cold water knob keeps falling off in my hand *shrug*) that I am tempted to go tackle 'cause you made that sound doable. I didn't say easy - doable. LOL
Your new kitchen totally rocks - have I said that? Love'n it!!!
;-D robelyn
The new faucet looks great. I love that type as it's high enough to fit tall puts under the faucet. Enjoy!
That should have been tall pots, not puts. ;)
love the look of the new faucet! we put a new one in our kitchen last year, and my husband who is not ver DIY did it. i think he was proud of himself until he was at work and i went to run the dishwasher and water came all under the sink because boy genius forgot to hook it back up. :)
You kitchen is REALLY looking great! Great job on the faucet installation too. You go girl!
ahhhh! what happened to the "r" at the end of "Your"?!!!! above!!!! I really do know how to speak and write properly!
Ooooh! Wish they'd ask me to review such a lovely faucet. I have a plumber husband to install it for me right quick.
Your facet looks gorgeous against your beautiful new backsplash.
Can you share what faucet it is? I've been thinking about getting a new one for our kitchen and I really like the look of that one!
Great job!!!
CSN products do come very quickly!!!
It looks great! :)
HA! I need to change out my faucet right now! I just don't want to but you make me think I can....Love the new look!
I've always been intimidated by plumbing and electrical tasks. I have a couple of faucets that I'd like to switch out in the house I just moved into two weeks ago. You make it seem like its totally doable for a rookie. I'm definitely going to try this. FYI, Lowes charges $150 to install a new faucet (in addition to whatever they charge for the actual faucet). I just inquired about it the other day. I'm totally going to do it myself---thanks for the inspiration!
