Cute twin headboard bench

IM000812
Isn’t this the cutest headboard bench ever?  I love the way it turned out.
 IM000813
It is so dainty.

Here she is all dressed up, looking so pretty in white.

I believe this has to be my favorite bench that Cathy and I have ever made! I can’t wait till the weather warms so we can make another bench. We have lots of headboards in storage.

Edited to Add: I'm getting some questions about the "how to" of this bench. Check out my tutorial and other benches. If you look carefully at them, they are basically the same.

The giveaway starts tomorrow. I’m very excited that I get to give something fabulous away. Make sure you stop by tomorrow, k?

ps is it just me, or has blogger gone bonkers?  The last two posts I made my pics larger for your viewing pleasure. Suddenly on Monday night, the pictures were getting cut off, so I edited several posts to make them smaller again. And… I broke my number one rule, I made changes to my layout WITHOUT downloading my template.  grrrrr

That bench turned out great...I've always wanted to make one but I think it's way out of my talent to get one done and done right. High five girls!!

That is so pretty in white, such a big difference from the dark stain!
Did you blog previously about how you made this? I'm wondering how you attached the rails across the bottom to each side?

My Cottage Charm said...

do you have a tutorial on your blog on how you make these? I have a spot I would like to put one, but need to know how to put it together. :) I could probably figure it out if I could see the underside of it. :) I would appreciate any help! Have a great day! :)
Oh, come check out my blog if you have a minute. :)

I have edited the post to add links for my tutorial and the label "bench". If you look at those, you can see that it's really not all that difficult to make. It does make it easier to have 2 people and clamps. :)
on another note WHY are my pics getting cut off suddenly? have a great day gals!

I have the perfect spot for that bench!! Love it.

I'm trying to decorate extra bedroom (daughter just graduated from college and moved out) and that bench would be perfect!

I'm going hunting for an old headboard. Your ideas are magnificent.

Gail this is AWESOME! Seriously, I'm going to have to make one now cuz it's just so darn cute! You are brilliant!!!
To answer your question, I use a scroll saw most of the time when I cut stuff out. It is so great at detail work and is pretty user friendly.
I think I'm headed to the thrift store to look at some head boards....
Have a great day!

Love this bench. Also loved that you painted it white. Would be lovely with some spring fabric cushions. I loved the one Layla and Kevin did over at the lettered cottage as well. I am off to look at your tutorial on how you did yours.

Cute cute cute.

all your benches turn out so cute.
I like this one and the white paint makes it really have a quality about it that would make it perfect for any spot really.
